Our Mission
The Dalton Hospitality Association was established to promote and protect the mutual interests and welfare of lodging and restaurant owners and operators and businesses that support the hospitality industry in the Dalton-Whitfield area.
The Association provides for the exchange of ideas and information relating to the hospitality industry. These include employment, education and training, taxation, governmental relations community awareness and service, and other issues of public interest.
What to know about Sunday Beverage Sales
- There are two referendums – one for Whitfield County and one for the City of Dalton
- The City of Dalton referedum ONLY applies to restaurants and lodging establishments
NO bars, taverns, package or convenience stores will sell alcoholic beverages on Sunday - Estimated to increase revenue for our hotels and restaurants by 40% – creating new jobs and opportunities
- Will help Dalton compete with Chattanooga, Rome and other communities
- In Georgia cities that have passed similar measures - alcohol-related incidents decreased (Rome, GA) or remained the same
